Utility Bill Assistance

Muskegon - Oceana Community Action Partnership, Inc receives funding for utility bill assistance through various intities, such as: The Heat And Warmth Fund (THAW) and Michigan Community Action Agency Association (MCAAA).  We use these funds to assist clients with shut-off prevention of utility services, such as:  gas, water when steam heat is used, electricity, etc.  Our goal is not only to provide a one time shut-off prevention utility bill payment to clients but to encourage them to participate in our Weatherization Program and Energy Education Cources. Our goal is to help the elderly, handicapped, and economically disadvantaged individuals reduce their over all heating costs and prevent utility service shut-offs while maintaining reasonable comfort in their homes year round.
